I quite literally live an hour drive away from Vulcan.
Vulcan, Alberta. A quaint farm town with a funny name. Every year, it's home to Spock days. AKA Vul-con. AKA Galaxyfest. I don't know why the same
weekend goes by the same name! There is a parade that goes down the one street of "downtown", a Star Trek actor makes a guest appearance, there are
fireworks and yes.... a rodeo. There are more fun details, but here are a few pictures from some trips to Vulcan.

Inside the tourist centre! Cut outs of many characters and Star Trek merchandise available year round!
The crown of the head is a child's baseball helmet spraypainted white to match my face.
The rest of the head is martial arts padding.
The left eye of the goggles is a hologram sticker of a spring-- it looks really cool when the light hits it right. Attached to the left eyepiece is a
battery-operated plasma disc. There is a red LED under the right eye with a cord that runs down my right arm to my right hand with a switch I can trigger with
my thumb and forefinger. The right side of the helmet has a green laser pointer-- when I'm on stage, you can see the laser beam in the air.
The chest is bicycle motocross (BMX) gear. There are a series of flashing LEDs on the right side of the chest, and I built a voice modulator onto the left side
of the chest that makes me sound like a Borg when I speak (the microphone comes up from the center of the chest to right below my mouth. There is a...

The first time I rocked it - all love goes to GreenArrowFl for painting me up, after me and friends failed for four hours prior.

Also wore it at Fx - with a darker shade of paint (never again) - and was called She-Hulk.

Since then a friend of mine has put together an amazing Enterprise style outfit for the orion (gold/purple netting, jewelry, etc) - and I will give it a third
try at next year's FX or Megacon.

The first version of this suit was debuted at Megacon 2008. The second version (A darker silver and built in shoes) was worn at the Star Trek premiere.

I recently just purchased a new latex cortical implant from DrgynFyre, have not worn it yet. Mine are currently silicone and thusly suck.
