Yeah, I went for campy since the photo was going to be not great quality anyway - so maple leaf scarf and Quatchi (one of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic mascots) toque it was.

(Suit is from Heroes in tights; boots are just nu-life'd old boots of mine. Yellow visor was bought off ebay. Waiting for a better Heather Hudson wig to come in the mail *taps foot*, and Morgan's going to help me with nicer gloves for the costume.)

This thread is for group photos of all things Alpha Flight. Group photos are groups of approximately 4 or more, not just two characters who happened to get a shot together. The group threads are meant as a way to save and organize all the group shots from conventions and such, so lets use them!

Probably one of the most ambitious costumes I've done, DreamQueen is a minor 4 or 6-issue run villain from Alpha Flight.
Debuted DragonCon 2009 as part of the INSANE Alpha Flight group

The suit is a modded Zentai suit from eBay, with the design painted on except for the vinyl trim around the inside edge (I admit, as it got closer to Con, the idea of sewing on all that vinyl made me cringe) The headpiece is made of wonderflex, clay, a pair of plastic Darkness horns from Amazon, and a whole lot of weird hardware to keep it on my head. There are actually 2 wigs that make up the hair do (hair-don't?). A friend helped me with her jewelry making skills to pull together the necklace. The boots are modded from a pair found on eBay and painted with NuLife. The cape was made from some insanely glittery fabric that is still leaving it's mark with red sparkles around the house.

Oh, and a helluva...

Northstar and Aurora

Aurora model: Teri Schell
Construction: Pleather with retro-reflective piping and accents (made by me); leather boots and gloves. Northstar also includes spandex shirt fashioned like the comics (not pictured.)
Appeared at Dragon Con 2007-08
My aim for these costumes was to create something in the vein of the X-Men movies' leather uniforms, but with elements from their comic-book incarnations. Teri is not my sister, but she's about the closest thing I have to a sister.
