Wow. I totally forgot there was a Lex Luthor thread... How does that happen?

Using multiple tuxedo jackets, shirts and trousers (as well as a bowtie I had to sew, because you just cannot find them anymore), I repeatedly changed into "Lex Luthor" between other costumes during Dragoncon 2011. I lost count how many different times I wore this, but it was every single time I left the hotel room unless I was wearing some other costume --

I thought I would post a photo of Lex Luthor 2000 Presidential Campaign buttons I made. These are redrawn based on the cover art from Superman # 164--

While the text ("2000") on those buttons is canon, I also made some "2012" buttons.

Vote the Luthor / Palin ticket!

How horrifying -- not the pose or the photo, but the signage. If you are going to create a sign for a major tourist attraction, allegedly written by a (fictional) journalist, at least have someone proofread it who has command of the English language.

"This glowing green metorite is the largest specimen of it's kind known to exist." So, the giant rock is emotionally kind -- is that what they are saying? And what, may I ask, is a "metorite"? It would have taken 2 minutes of proofreading to correct the errors and avoid emnbarassment. IMHO, companies that print huge signs on commission should advise their clients about spelling errors.

But -- great pose! I am considering some Lex Luthor impressions for Dragon*con 2010... and these...

Our friend Joe as Lex at Superman Celebration. He was a good sport because it was sweltering that day, so a bald cap and full on suit is not comfy!

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the awesome Kryptonite ring we found for $2 on Ebay. I'll have to get that picture another time!

Had to take that picture because Clark Kent and Lex Luthor sharing fries really cracked me up.
