Sultan of spandex, Prince of pleather (or so I've been told!)

Aquaman
Debuted 2002
Made by me out of spandex and PVC with vinyl/plastic belt, aqua socks.
Appeared at Dragon Con 2004.
Sold in 2005.

Aquaman (late 90s version)
Debuted 2001
Made by me: Spandex (difficult to see in this pic, but the green part is actually scaled, vinyl, hot glue, dive boots, an actual seashell on the headband, gold paint and a Halloween trident. ;)
Retired 2008

Aquaman (2008)
This one was a commission, made by me. Spandex with silkscreen scaling; plastic/mylar belt.

Aquaman (1991)
Construction: Spandex, silkscreened scale pattern.
This was one of my first commissioned pieces, again I just had him pay for the materials and I did it for practice. The guy I made it for was prop master for the Superboy TV series of the late 80s, which was filmed in Orlando at MGM and then Universal Studios. He and some friends made a series of short video films called "The Adventures of Aquaboy," in which he played the title character, and he used this costume for it. They filmed it in a TV station on their news set, which had a green screen, and unfortunately, half of the costume "keyed out" with the background. He ended up getting a second set of gloves in gray and some cheap gray tights to cover up the bottom of the costume while they filmed. It was BAD, but fun to watch.

Honestly? This wouldn't be so bad if you got a more convincing wig. There are a variety of men's hairpieces available that blend and look better to the point where someone who doesn't know you might actually believe it's your real hair.

my second costume based on the Superfriends...2005 (i think). I originally made this pictured suit myself. The buckle i did in sculpty and painted. I still wear this alot...upgrades over the years included a new body suit by Brian (green arrow), belt by me.

This is my partner in the upgraded suit by Brian, and me as Mera....LOL...I won a ton of contests and got national attention from Wizard as their first drag queen in the magazine! They wrote me a letter after seeing this on a national site and asked if i would send it into the contest. I told them only if they didn't make fun (which they do) they promised and they came through! The suit for me was made by my NYC tailor. I wore $8000.00 in jewelry...awesome!!!!

I made her a "SHELL PHONE" since she is a modern "woman" !!!!

My 1st Aquaman. It's the Underwater Camo suit. I thought of it as a dare. THis was actually one of my very earliest suits. The entry into the suit is through a snap opening along one of the waves across the body that wraps around to the back.

My second Aquaman suit is the traditional orange and green version. I made this for my JLA group for Wizard World Chicago back in the 90's. The orange part is a metallic material, not quite sequined, but close.

I had this pic in my pic files that I used in the beginning of my costume construction. Not sure whos it is but very nice none the less
