Debut: Convergence 2008, this was my 2nd try at a super hero costume.
Based on the new Thor Comic book
Main body, cape made by me and my brother, The main body is a black flat cotton fabric, trim is tan foe leather, Cape is a an amazing red pattern lined with color changing red to blue fabric. The cape is whopper snapped and hooked onto the shoulders of the main body. There is a zipper that runs up the back up the main vest. The circles are wood from Michaels crafts painted black and silver leafed then clear coated with triple thick spray. I cut 1/4" masonite the same size as the wooden circles, drilled 4 holes in the masonite that I put the shoe laces threw, glued that to the circles. They were then attached threw button holes in the fabric.
The belt is 2" back back strap cover with foe leather, trimmed with piping and the buckle is one of the wooden circles covered in the tan foe leather. It velcroes at the back of the belt.
Original Helmut, wings over my face, purchased online, is plastic, but I silver leafed it.
New Helmut as of March 2009, purchased from Entertainment Earth.com with the new blonde wig which I couldn't wear before, the old helmut was too small.
Hammer is a PVC pipe cover in foe leather, main part is pink wall foam, cut with a band saw, covered in glue and news paper, painted black then silver leafed and clear coated with triple thick spray. The handle is attached with a pvc deck mount apoxied to the foam with 6" lag bolts
Boots are my Green Arrow boots, I made pleather tops, straps are the foe tan leather. The circle on the ankle is the same as the chest circles.
Guantlets are black pleather trimmed in the foe tan leather.
