Costume made by Jessi Stephens (and her mom) in 2007: It consisted of a plain, flesh-colored all-in-one (which are getting painfully harder and harder to find), with 8 hrs spent hand-sewing leaves on. It takes 2-3 people to pull on! (Ask Jess. She can confirm this.) Boots were originally white, and spray-painted and folded over to look like Ivy's boots in the first appearance.

Posts: 635 05/30/09 9:56 Costume Neurosurgeon	You make an extremely good Ivy, Jessi, the costume is wonderful. Just an opinion, but you could probably up the hotness factor of this costume by going bare-legged. It all depends on what you're comfortable with, of course.

Anywho......We made a Poison Ivy for 2007's HPC but as the young lady who we made it for effectively conned us out of about £10,000 (long story) I'm not gonna post her picture. However.....We have a young lady who asked if she could come this year, and came to our Bar-B-Que the other day.........as soon as I saw her I said....'That's it, you HAVE to be poison Ivy' Here's her trying on the costume at about 2am......bear in mind the tights are wrong, there's no makeup etc........but this is probably her costuming debut.... Yes, that's her real hair. ...It looks like a fist. Posts: 142 06/06/09 9:27	I totally agree Kell, it's great to see all the different takes on the same character! Ivy is one of those characters that I don't think I've ever seen two costumers look exactly alike! I'm planning to do this in the next year. Once I dye my hair red (probably in October), so either later this year or next year. Though I'm doing the Bruce Timm version (I loved his Marilyn-esque Ivy) Made from green suede, so it won't actually have any leaves on it!

Posts: 240 11/02/09 5:52	I had alot of fun on halloween, here on the lonely west coast! hah. Some of these more or less embarassing pictures prove that poison ivy grows wild on halloween ..eek. Also, I was wearing red contact lenses, but the red eye reduction setting on my friends camera made them disappear in some of the pics. I wish I had better pictures of the costume! Posts: 3 12/29/09 4:16	Uuugh these are all amazing... you guys are awesome OnO" Alrighty I'm gonna have to dress back up sometime soon and take some better pics of my costume xP The only ones I could find had red eye since I took them at night, and this one.... makes me look strange. And it's not even the entire costume O_O Soo um yeah, took me all day and my hands were burnt to a crisp from the hot glue gun I had to resort to when my sewing machine broke, but I thought it was okay-ish... bought a bunch of leaves from the craft store, cheap ol' wig from the costume store, cut up an old tank top and dyed it green, then sewed/ glued everything on (you can kiiind of see the top of the leafy part).
