A lot of my comic book fan friends compare me to Cassandra Cain, because I'm half Asian on my mother's side, caucasian on my father's side, my best friend is a loud, clumsy-but-determined blonde named Steph, and yes, my name is really Cassandra. My mom's Korean, though, and not Chinese. I didn't know about her until a boy in my chemistry class almost passed out when he found out I was half Asian on my mom's side and my BFF Steph was a blonde. This is inspiring my costume choice for the upcoming NYCC: Cass Cain's Batgirl.

I actually saw a link for this place from a cosplay forum and this suits my needs faarrr better than the cosplay site. I'm pretty new to costuming, and my first serious one was The Dark Knight Joker (I know, everybody and his dog dressed up as Joker). Yes, yes, I have pictures. See the end of this post. So what do I do outside of dressing up as men? :P I'm a summer camp counselor at a playground, so I do that every day in the summer for seven weeks, and aside from that it's basically school, school, school. I do things like tweet in character, sit around on Facebook, etc. Also, recently got into caster boarding. They're basically skateboards but with only two wheels. It's fun.
Uh...What else...I like reading? And I mean besides comics, but speaking of comics, I'm just getting into Green Lantern stuff because my friend's obsessed with GL. Also catching up on some DC side of things by reading Final Crisis (I actually have both the novelization AND the collected comics), and have Return of Bruce Wayne 1-3. Right now I'm reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. I'm obsessed with visiting the used book store in my area.
I also do some running, but that's not particularly enjoyable for me! Haha.

Okay, so most of these are from a Halloween party that I didn't think I was going to so it was all rushed and whatnot. Yes, I'm a female, and based on these pictures, you can't really tell (which was the point). My hair was bout 26 inches long at the time and I pinned it all up. My height (5'4"), my little hands (remedied with man-gloves the next year) and my voice gave it away in person. This was Halloween over two different years. One year I didn't have the coat so I did more of an interrogation-scene Joker, with the messier make up [first picture].
