He was not on stilts. The guy who Brett made this for was pretty tall to begin with. like at least 6'6" maybe more The helmut added an extra foot. His girlfriend dressed as his herald Frankie Ray. Brett served as his handler since he got mobbed everywhere they went

I remember seeing that dude in a crowd and thinking he was on stilts. Then I went to get a picture of him and... nope... he was that huge!

What is really amazing about that costume is how he made the helmet. He made a mold with Dixie Cups, Star Wars toys and a 5 gallon bucket, and cast it in
SmoothCast 300. The up-close detail is ridiculous. Bret was one of a kind, for sure. A DIY god. There was not a thing he couldn't do, and he didn't
need help from anyone. :)

This was such an awesome suit. I remember talking to him about it and him saying that "so and so, a truly amazing costumer, made it for me". Funny to hear so much about him later too. I had no idea who Brett was at the time. I have one picture of Galactus if I can find it. He was drinking a beer when I asked for the pic and he said as soon as he found somewhere to put it down.
I insisted on the picture that most likely no one else would get... the world eater knocking one back |
