This is dedicated to your original heroes for those who need a break from the re-creation arena. I like doing my own concepts for a couple of reasons. I enjoy trying to come up with something that hasn't been done before (ok, I can get headaches tying to find a new design that doesn't resemble the gajillion of characters already out there.), and it's nice not to have to get every little detail correct on an established character's outfit. I'll start with a couple of my own... Nyghthawk Bloodwing (Which I'm currently updating and tweaking) Let me know what you guys/gals think. Crime is easy. Fighting it is hard.

It was smart to use a "y" in your Nyghthawk to minimize confusion with the Marvel character The design unfortunately is reminescent of the concept George Perez was considering for the original Nightwing suit-even with the difference in the color blocks. Hardcore Perez/Nightwing fans will notice it. Not a bad design though

Along these lines, and with their potential, I believe Robin has been too obviously identifiable and also a very minor character for many years. It is long overdue for Robin to be succeeded by a more tough and awesome and WELL-MASKED Batman partner whom I would call "Talon." I think your Bloodwing concept qualifies in that direction, and I'd like to see you pursue it with still more developments. Zane As a symbol, I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting.

Posts: 788 06/19/09 2:56 Superheroines Only Mod	I don't know why we the mods hadn't thought of this thread sooner. SLACKERS! Here's mine, Amber the Superhero Stylist, originally created for WWTBASH and then created as my City of Heroes character. Her hair color does change as often as mine, btw. Since CoX is supposed to be for original character creation and not existing character clones, it's a great designing tool. I use it all to the time to work out design ideas. That's me 15 lbs lighter :( We can definitely move this and sticky it to the "Other" gallery.

Posts: 58 06/21/09 7:10	I do tend to think outside the box for my own take on Superheroes. I'll not post pics here of the plaid series or the fuzzy fur series. But I have had some fun in the last 6 - 9 months making some sport SuperFan costumes. Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, VA) Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA) Pittsburgh Steelers (Pittsburgh, PA) Note: This particular costume was cranked out the night before SuperBowl XLIII And for a slightly different series, I crafted my own version of a water themed superhero. It was made for a superhero themed pool party. The few who did dress up wore standard costumes from the store. I was the only one who actually made something specific for the event. Posts: 81 06/21/09 11:23	Here's one I did for the League of Heroes costume contest. An Army scientist was exerimenting with combining human and gazell (?) DNA in order to make faster and stronger soldiers, When suddenly.....! The explosion caused his metamorphisis into.... PAN Ok. Not terribly original. But fun to do. And the glowing crystal isn't photoshoped, I put and LED in it. The horns and ears where sculpted in clay, cast in Krylon casting stone, then molded in latex by me. For the legs I used a greenish fun-fur that zip up the back as well as flesh toned Dragon Skin silicone with inlaid hairs along the top edge so they blend with my skin. The hooves are cow hoof pieces that I got at the local Pet Smart and glued to some aqua-shoes, as was some of the fun fur. My real hair is in the first pic. The new hair is a half wig from the top of my head, back. For the front I used a lace beard piece sprit gummed down and combed into the half wig. Crime is easy. Fighting it is hard.
