There you go. This was the thread i was looking for. Not done yet but i'm in the progress of assembling my Ironman kit i bought last February. Nothing
fancy like a TMP armor but it was just within the budget that the Mrs. allowed me to spend on an armor |

I saw this for the first time on LoH and I think it's someone known, but since I'm still newer than most, perhaps someone can fill me in. I really like this. |

That's John Hays costume. He operates www.aeprops.com, where I got my Hawkman helmet kit from.

Here's my suit I got to debut Friday night at the Marriott during Dragon Con 2009. My wife threw together a Pepper Potts costume to walk around with me
during my first "test run" wearing the suit.

Wow! Congratulations! And please tell your wife she makes a great Pepper as well. I'm disappointed I didn't get to see this in person.
(& that looks like a TMP?) |

Thanks guys. Nice to meet you S Sj3 Derek. Thanks for letting me know of the photo shoot!
Costuming is a huge illusion for me, as you can tell by this TMP Iron Man suit.
I'm one of those genetically super skinny guys that can't ever seem to gain weight. I'm 6 feet tall and only weigh 130-135 pounds and have been one
of those guys that portrays Spider-Man for Marvel's promotional events. You can't tell how tiny I am while wearing this walking tank called Iron Man
though. I love it, and people liked the costume so I'll be wearing it much more in the future!

WOW.. If you cant get it from Stan Winston.. TMP is the next best thing.. top of the class. For a thin guy prospective, how is mobility in the suit? Again..
Awesom suit!!!

While I've not worn a Stormtrooper suit before, I've been around so many of them over the years that I picture walking movement about as good as they
can move, and the IM suit even has the plastic squeeks you always hear from Stormtroopers walking by as well.
Walking around is no problem. I haven't tried stairs yet, though. The arms have nice movement all the way out to the sides, but it's weird being the only costume I've ever owned where I cannot physically reach my own head to take my helmet off if I had to. The joints won't allow full bending of the arms to reach there. Definately need a spotter with you to put the helmet on and take it off for you. That's where "Pepper" comes in handy. |

Though I dont own a TMP armor (wish i did).. the Mark3 suit I have also has the same problems (and me being 'big side ways' doesnt make it any
better).. compared to a Stormtrooper armor, which is more comfortable to wear. Same goes for the problem with removing/putting on the helmet. View on my helmet
is very bad..reason i dread stairs. But overall... its worth it dont you think ;)
But boy do you have the better suit. NICE!! |
