A little nervous to be the first post since there are better BC costumes out there, but the superheroines need some threads here too!
So, here is my version of Black Canary. Most of the pieces were found and then I added on the yellow accents and did some altering to make them fit. This particular costume is not a specific version of Black Canary but instead my own take on the character including pieces from many of Dinah's costumes over the years, in comics, live action, and animation. I had a lot of fun putting this together and can't wait to officially debut it at Superman Celebration in June.
and, just for laughs, this is the Black Canary costume that I threw together with items I tracked down in a mall. The only thing I had beforehand were the boots. Not counting the boots (which every would-be Superheroine should have in her closet!), I spent about $50 total on the costume:
Not the best, especially with the awful Hannah Montana wig, but not too bad for a last-minute costume.
