Probably one of the most ambitious costumes I've done, DreamQueen is a minor 4 or 6-issue run villain from Alpha Flight.
Debuted DragonCon 2009 as part of the INSANE Alpha Flight group
The suit is a modded Zentai suit from eBay, with the design painted on except for the vinyl trim around the inside edge (I admit, as it got closer to Con, the idea of sewing on all that vinyl made me cringe) The headpiece is made of wonderflex, clay, a pair of plastic Darkness horns from Amazon, and a whole lot of weird hardware to keep it on my head. There are actually 2 wigs that make up the hair do (hair-don't?). A friend helped me with her jewelry making skills to pull together the necklace. The boots are modded from a pair found on eBay and painted with NuLife. The cape was made from some insanely glittery fabric that is still leaving it's mark with red sparkles around the house.
Oh, and a helluva lotta fashion tape to keep everything in place!

I was really worried that I was just going to get pegged as some sort of demon, but as we walked out of the elevators and into the Hyatt lobby, immediately someone said "DreamQueen!" so that made me feel a bit better -- sometimes I worry that the characters that made an impression on me were just a "me" thing.
Also, crabwalking through the habitrails so you don't knock your horns off is not evil-looking in the least. Nope.
